On May 16-18, 2008, First Presbyterian Church of Bartow held their annual men's retreat. Derek Maul, author of “Get Real, A Spiritual Journey for Men", was the keynote speaker. The setting was outstanding. The men occupied the FFA Leadership Center on Lake Pierce near Haines City. The retreat was a combination of lecture and small group study. All went home with a strong sense of God's blessing. |

May 4, 2008 we dedicated our new fellowship hall and kitchen with special prayer and a pot luck lunch. Our fellowship hall was once the main sanctuary and on May 20, 1888, almost 120 years ago to the day, that sanctuary was dedicated to the glory of God. |
